Julia McQuerry, LCSW
About Me
Julia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working with youth and their families since 2014. She earned her Masters Degree in Social Work from Indiana University in 2018. Julia has provided individual and family therapy to youth from the ages of 3 to 20. She has also worked in an Emergency Department completing assessments for youth and adults having mental health crises. Julia is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and has helped children who have experienced traumatic events.
She also uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to work with youth who are struggling with anxiety and depression. Julia believes in a family approach and likes to do a mix of both individual and family therapy sessions when working with a child or adolescent.
Julia believes that the relationship between a client and their therapist is very important to the therapeutic process. She works hard to build her clients’ trust and asks that her clients and their families share any concerns with her. Julia works to help clients meet their goals so that they can thrive at home, school, and in social settings. Julia will work collaboratively with school staff, physicians, and other support people as appropriate.
